No, Ze Frank hasn’t created a True Facts about Anoles video–though surely that’s in the works (check out his list of videos). But he does have a very good one on camouflage and mimicry, and anoles make numerous appearances. For the record, my favorite True Facts is the one on chameleons.

Jonathan et al.—There is also a True Facts about lizard and snake tongues based on my research —”True Facts: Killer Tongues” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjuVq9BRNAI). I am working with Ze on another one about tadpoles. I think one about anoles is a great idea. For it to be successful, however, there has to be lots of video available for him to use (plus still images, but I know the community has LOTS of those). I will suggest the idea to him. If he is interested in pursuing the idea, I will solicit ideas, video and images from this community.

I agree with Kurt that the Ze Frank’s lizard and snake tongue episode is great, too. When I last taught herpetology, I showed the chameleon one in class because it summarized most of my lecture in four minutes, even with all the jokes. The tongue and mimicry episodes are really great, too, though they are probably too long to show as part of a class lecture.
