This is the best pic I could get of what I believe is an A. stratulus at Punta Borincua. Note the single yellowish stripe down the back with black bars above the base of the tail. Does anyone know the identifying characteristics of A. stratulus?

That looks more like a (female) Anolis cristatellus to me.

Yeah, I agree.
Anolis stratulus tends to be more slender and “flatter.” Though I am sure some others on here can describe better diagnostic traits!

Almost certainly a cristatellus

Am I drinking or smoking too much? Or just aging? BUT take a look at that cristatellus/stratulus? photo.
Lower right hand corner, moving up and to the left…do I see a snake…or is it a branch mimicking a snake?

George, just ’cause pot’s legal now doesn’t mean you should be partaking non-stop.

Looks more like a female crested to me as others have said (but I’m not an expert in PR anoles).
I would like to throw out that you can upload pics like this to iNaturalist.org where you can get feedback on IDs (though maybe not always from such expert or distinguished peers!) and have the occurrence data be available to other scientists.
