I have a yard full of both green and brown anoles near Houston. Both species seem to coexist pretty well.

I haven’t seen the brown here (San Antonio), yet, so I can’t speak to any encroachment or it’s effects. But it irks me no end to see a college-level, or above, paper [published] with this kind of non-editing.
